The Saudi Arabia participated in the 64th session of the Legal Subcommittee of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), held at the Vienna International Centre, as part of its efforts to strengthen international cooperation in the space sector and contribute to the development of legal and regulatory frameworks governing space activities.

The Kingdom was represented by a joint delegation from the Communications, Space and Technology Commission and the Saudi Space Agency. The session addressed several key topics related to the implementation of space treaties and the legal aspects of space resource activities, supporting the peaceful and sustainable use of outer space.

This participation reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing its presence in international forums and contributing to the development of policies and regulations that support the growth of the space sector and strengthen Saudi Arabia’s role as an active partner in the global space community.
