20250816746The Saudi Space Agency organized the second edition of the Space Debris Conference 2026, with broad international participation representing 75 countries and bringing together experts, decision-makers, and leaders from the global space sector, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen international cooperation in addressing space debris challenges and ensuring the sustainability of outer space.
The conference was held with the support of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs and in partnership with the International Telecommunication Union, covering key topics related to space sustainability and governance, as well as technical and regulatory challenges associated with space debris. It also showcased innovative operational solutions and international partnerships that contribute to enhancing space security and long-term sustainability.
The conference featured an accompanying exhibition presenting 20 shortlisted projects from the DebriSolver global competition, showcasing innovative solutions and applied projects aimed at addressing space debris challenges and supporting the responsible and sustainable use of space.
