Terms and Conditions

Participation Terms

By registering for the SDC 2026 competition, you as a "participating team member" acknowledge and agree to comply with the following terms and conditions:

  • This competition is organized under the supervision of the Saudi Space Agency and is referred to herein as SDC 2026 .
  • All team members acknowledge that they have reviewed and accepted the competition’s terms and conditions prior to participation. Submission constitutes acceptance of these terms.
  • Any changes to the competition will be announced via the official website or the Saudi Space Agency’s social media channels.
  • The Agency reserves the right to request additional information or documentation to support participation or verify authenticity.
  • All teams must adhere to the submission deadlines for each competition phase. Failure to comply will result in disqualification.
  • At any stage, the Agency reserves the right to disqualify any team at its sole discretion, without the obligation to provide reasons or compensation of any kind.
  • All information submitted will remain strictly confidential and used solely for statistical purposes. The Agency has the right to share information with public or private entities if necessary.
  • The Agency retains exclusive rights to publish and announce all competition-related details, including participant names, across media and social platforms.
  • Participants are not allowed to join more than one team. Violators will result in full disqualification of all teams involved.
  • The SDC 2026 organizing committee reserves the right to modify, extend, or cancel the competition as needed.
  • All entries are subject to review to ensure compliance with the competition terms and conditions.
  • Entries violating intellectual property or copyright laws will be disqualified.
  • Submitting the same work, copying, or plagiarizing from another team is prohibited.
  • The SDC 2026 committee reserves the right to select an alternative team if the initially winning team is deemed ineligible.
  • All submitted information must be accurate and complete.
Intellectual Property
  • The Saudi Space Agency reserves the right to retain any files submitted as part of the entries.
  • By participating, team members grant the Agency and any authorized third party a non-exclusive, irrevocable license to copy, publish, distribute, modify, rearrange, translate, and use the entry for any purpose related to the competition, including but not limited to websites, messages, TV, radio, and social media.
  • The Saudi Space Agency is not responsible for any legal action resulting from participants violating laws or regulations.
  • All entry content and details must be original and attributable solely to the participants. They affirm that their submissions do not infringe on any third-party rights. The Agency reserves the right to reject or remove entries and hold participants liable for damages.
  • If a participant is found to be part of multiple entries, they must choose one; otherwise, all their entries will be disqualified.
  • In the event of an intellectual property dispute or any related conflict, participants agree to release the Agency from all liabilities and accept full responsibility for any violations.

Participation is free of charge.
Is there a possibility of participating in more than one theme of the competition?
Yes, there will be no restrictions on the themes that the participants will build their solution and paper about, but it is recommended to discuss at least one of these themes.
How many individuals can be part of a group?
5-8 max
Who will be responsible for the submission and communication with the mentors?
The main participants will be responsible and allowed to fill out forms, submit documents and communicate with editors. Moreover, the main participants will be responsible for providing the team member (s) information.
Can a participant or a project member get involved in more than one project?
No, so the participants will focus on one project.
